A Global Software Firm Cambridge

Pioneering the realms of science and engineering software, this illustrious Global Software Firm took a bold step by anchoring its latest UK office in the bustling precinct of Cambridge Science Park. With this strategic move, they united their disparate teams, forging a cohesive alliance under the sheltering embrace of a single, central hub.

Diverse Workspaces for Dynamic Teams

Diverse workspaces catered to individual and collaborative work styles, accommodating the team's varied needs throughout the day. With meticulous consideration, the ground floor was thoughtfully designed to incorporate vast communal and café areas. Strategically providing much-needed spaces for rejuvenating intervals. This design fosters a culture of well-being and productivity, acknowledging the importance of taking breaks to recharge and thrive.

Given the client's keen eye for detail, selecting high-quality, well-thought-out furniture was pivotal for the success of this project. The furniture not only had to be aesthetically pleasing but also functional and practical to meet the demands of a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Elevating Aesthetics and Functionality

A standout piece in the ground floor's communal area is the Boss Banquette seating. Boasting a bold pattern at the back and wipeable leather seats, offering a unique blend of style and functionality.

To ensure privacy and individuality on each floor, the Naughtone Pullman High Backed Chairs were chosen, each floor featuring its own signature colour theme.

The overall colour palette for the space was meticulously curated. The first floor adorned with rich red accents, the second floor with vibrant green, and the third with calming blue. The furniture selection for each floor harmoniously complements these distinct colour themes.

In the meeting rooms, Opus Magnum bespoke tables take centre stage. These large, high-profile tables exude elegance while offering ample space for circulation during meetings.

Fostering Collaboration and Privacy

To foster collaboration and accommodate the growing teams, the Spacestor Palisades II were strategically employed. Providing airy, space-dividing properties that also double as functional and aesthetic storage solutions.

The attention to detail also extends to the lovely outdoor areas. These spaces are now equipped with stylish furniture that serves as additional workspace during warm days. The outdoor MARK Product Meta tables topped with Smile sustainable plastic made from waste materials are perfect for small meetings. While the Hay Palisade sofas with cushion wraps offer a comfortable retreat for moments of relaxation.

Sustainability in Action

In line with the client's commitment to sustainability, the project integrated environmentally conscious practices. Task chairs from the original offices were thoughtfully reused, minimising waste and contributing to the firm's eco-friendly initiatives.

A Confluence of Design, Innovation, and Sustainability

With a stunning blend of contemporary design, functionality, and sustainability, the new Cambridge HQ of this Global Software Firm stands as a testament to the harmonious convergence of architecture, innovation, and creativity. Designed with precision and meticulous attention to detail, this space provides an inspiring and conducive environment for the teams to collaborate, create, and push the boundaries of science and engineering software.
