Avison Young Manchester

A significant driving force behind this project was aligning the proposed furniture with the coveted SKA. An accreditation that Avison Young was actively striving to attain. The client team displayed fervent dedication towards replicating the aesthetic accomplishments of Tsunami in Avison Young's Leeds office from the preceding year. By crafting a contemporary, open floorplan fostering collaboration and well-being, and incorporating designated focus zones catering to various team and individual work settings, the office radiates a vibrant and expansive ambiance. This effect is further heightened by a meticulously curated colour palette that encompasses both inclusivity and wellness principles.

Comprehensive Collaboration

Through a closely-knit collaboration with the Avison Young project team, we embarked on a comprehensive exploration of each and every proposed product, leaving no avenue unexplored. The ultimate choices underwent a meticulous evaluation process, with a keen focus on identifying the most environmentally conscious options. Our criteria encompassed the composition of materials, fabric selections, and finishing techniques.

Scandinavian Influence

A prevailing Scandinavian aesthetic permeated the furniture selection, drawing inspiration from design elements akin to those championed by Muuto. The allure lay in the uncluttered, modern lines, with a spotlight on pieces such as their circular tables and sleek bar stools. Notably, the Modus Panda sofa effortlessly embodied this style, boasting organic contours that melded seamlessly while maintaining a space-conscious demeanour.

Balancing Elements

In a symphony of textures, the office space became an artful juxtaposition of elements. Softness and comfort found their expression through selections like the Deadgood Working Lounge and MDD Baltic soft Duo. These choices served as a striking contrast to the prevalent use of wood, which assumed a dual role as both flooring and wall panelling. Infusing the space with warmth and grounding its contemporary character.

Upholding Sustainability

In alignment with the Avison Young Sustainable Fit-Out Policy, our mandate encompassed the achievement of SKA Gold and BREEAM Excellent certifications. As a result, our approach to furniture selection adhered meticulously to the guidelines set forth by both of these frameworks. Our focus rested on incorporating elements that upheld crucial sustainability factors. This included recycled content, recyclability, Cradle to Cradle certification, FISP membership, and adherence to EPDs as outlined by ISO 14025.

This project embodied ideals, acting as a bridge between aesthetics and ethics, and promising a thriving, sustainable workspace for Avison Young's community to flourish within.
