40 (NOT MILAN) SPRING LAUNCHES!

5th May 2020

Usually at this time of year we do a round up presentation of what we have seen at the Milan Salone Furniture Fair. Sadly the 2020 edition of the show has been cancelled. However, we thought it would be a good idea to have a look at some of the pieces that would have been showcased.

We don’t have a lot of the familiar names as some manufacturers are holding fire on their new launches, releasing them later in the year.

All Tubes by Muller Van Severen

The new collection from the Begian design duo consists of a chair, bench and several cabinets all made out of aluminium tubes welded together

Corolla by Billiani

The new collection, designed by Cristina Celestino, comprises a 2-seater sofa, armchair, high back armchair and side chair, which all feature the turned wooden leg and the wraparound back which envelops the chair.

Curtain by Zeitraum

This sculptural piece features a solid wood waved leg and comes in four sizes from 2400mm wide to 4000mm wide, with either straight or rounded ends.

Frisée by Billiani

Designer Cristina Celestino’s second collection for Billiani this year, and features the same playful wavy edges and vibrant

Accademia by Cimento

Part of the architectural finish’s new collection this bookcase designed by Studio 63 is modular and customizable in height, width and depth, the bookcases (self-supporting or wall-mounted). The surfaces, made from cement covered wooden panels come in a range of colours

Ascent by Green Furniture Concept

Linking seamlessly, the beam-based modular system is configurable to create 30-40% more seating than conventional straight-angled beam seating systems. As you would expect, the system is super environmentally friendly with the frame made of wood sourced responsible, post-consumer low-carbon aluminium from Hydro (the highest recycled content on the market and first-time-ever used in furniture), recycled post-consumer steel and ocean-based recycled plastic from Plastix

Grand Slam by Ton

Ton combined their wood bending skills with an ultra light seat to create this new collection

Grill by Diabla

Design house MUT’s new range for the Gandia Blasco sub-brand is made from  lightweight aluminium, making both the chair and armchair easy to stack, and the range of tables easy to move

Isla by Boss

A new chair from the UK manufacturer that  has both a side and an armchair, and comes in either a 4-legged wooden version or a 4-star swivel

Civic by Herman Miller

Herman Miller have launched a new series of tables including round tables from  900mm to 2400mm and trapezoids up to 2800mm. With a variety of finishes including marble.
