This year we saw a variety of furniture solutions + themes running throughout…
Let’s not forget the effort these suppliers go to to create some magnificent stands. From the smaller, perfectly colour-coded DeVorm, to the larger and exceptionally well thought out stands from Interstuhl and Brunner.
1. Collaborative Benches
Hang lights to planters, or create your own, sweeping shapes… there are many options to tailor a bench which allows for more freedom in design. In addition, it allows it to tie in with its surroundings more effectively.
2. Domestic Feel
Loose fabric was, again, seen throughout supplier offerings. This provides a more domestic feel to commercial furniture pieces.
3. Analogue Interaction
Even though we are in a very digital time, we still see the need for analogue interaction. This is evident in the continuous options for whiteboards; whether it be in form, function or material selection.
4. Modular Seating
An arrangement of modular seating systems shows the demand for breakout seating. The key characteristic, again, is that they can be customised. This allows designers to do what they do best; design for a space.
