Sky Project Wave saw the transformation of an existing Sky building into a refreshed workplace designed to bring teams together under one roof. The move consolidated multiple divisions across one large floor and a smaller adjoining floor, creating a more cohesive environment aligned to Sky’s evolving ways of working.
Over six months, we worked closely with Sky’s programme lead and consultant team to understand the nuances of their brief and translate brand ambition into practical delivery. The interior scheme drew on Sky’s signature colours, balancing energy with focus across a varied floorplate.
Responsible Procurement from the Outset
Sustainability was embedded within the specification from day one. Sky’s ambition centred on best practice solutions in respect of environmental issues within the design and specification, promoting positive environmental impact during the construction, use and maintenance of the facility, with sustainable materials actively considered throughout.
As part of the project matrix, FSC Chain of Custody compliance was a requirement. We ensured certified products and robust supply chain processes were in place to meet this standard, reinforcing traceability and responsible sourcing across the scheme. Working alongside Sky’s sustainability adviser, we aligned procurement decisions with these principles, safeguarding both compliance and design intent.
Seamless Integration of Reuse and New
A defining feature of Sky Project Wave was the considered blend of existing and new furniture. In close collaboration with Sky’s internal reuse lead, we aligned inventory, relocation and new specification so that legacy pieces were fully integrated into the finished space.
Delivering Through Complexity
Alongside product selection and procurement, our team managed delivery and installation through a complex pre-Christmas programme, adapting quickly to wider project delays while maintaining momentum and progress on site.
