A global financial firm’s recent move in Zurich called for a new workplace designed to accommodate future growth while creating an inspiring, high-quality environment for employees and clients. We partnered with architects TP Bennett and project managers Emch+Berger to deliver a complete furniture package from consultancy, procurement, delivery, and installation.
This project continues a long-standing collaboration, following successful workplace FF&E and service requests in Luxembourg, Geneva, Frankfurt, and Milan. Together, these projects form part of a wider European strategy and ongoing Day-2 support for the client’s operations.
A Refined, Responsible Design
The brief called for a contemporary, welcoming environment that balanced functionality with premium design quality. Working within LEED Platinum sustainability standards, all materials were FSC or PEFC certified, prioritising durability, low-VOC coatings, and local delivery where possible.
The interior palette draws on natural textures and refined detailing — timber veneer joinery, deep green and blue acoustic panelling, and tactile Kvadrat upholstery create a calm, cohesive tone throughout.
Furniture with Purpose
Furniture selections were chosen for both performance and longevity. Sculptural lounge pieces by NORR11, GUBI, and B&B Italia introduce warmth and texture, while Knoll Tone height-adjustable desking and Herman Miller Cosm chairs promote ergonomic, agile working.
Bespoke lockers by Your Workspace were precision-fitted to alcoves on site, while meeting rooms feature custom HK Design tables with marble inlays and matching credenzas to align with the client’s previous European specification in Luxembourg.
European Delivery, Local Expertise
With a Zurich-based Tsunami Axis team overseeing the project, our local presence and deep understanding of cross-border logistics and customs processes ensured smooth delivery and installation. Navigating supply from multiple European manufacturers can pose challenges, but our cross-border order knowledge, established supply network, and close relationships with local partners allowed us to mitigate risk, accelerate lead times, and keep the project on budget.
A Unified, Future-Ready Workspace
The completed workspace reflects a unified European design language — functional, elegant, and future-ready — advancing sustainability commitments through responsible sourcing and future opportunities for reuse and refurbishment through EcoClear’s clearance service.
