Originally built as a manufacturing and packing facility in the 1960s, Middlewood Court was transformed into a modern workplace for up to 1,000 AstraZeneca employees. The project, designed by Space Invader, aimed to reinvigorate the Macclesfield campus, bring corporate teams closer to its manufacturing operations and support a more progressive way of working.
Complete Furniture Delivery
Tsunami Axis provided a complete furniture and accessories package, managing specification, procurement, project management, delivery and installation. Furniture was selected to support focused work, collaboration and informal meetings while complementing the wider design.
A Workplace for the Future
The completed environment gave the building a new purpose and created a more open, flexible and engaging workplace. Its success has since helped inform AstraZeneca’s approach to workplace design across its wider portfolio.
