Metz plays an important role in Sage’s wider European workplace programme, which currently spans the UK, Spain, Portugal, France and Germany. Delivered alongside several other locations, the project demonstrates how a unified workplace vision can be applied across different buildings and contexts while maintaining consistency for employees.

Reimagining an Established Workplace

Designed by M Moser Associates, the Metz office forms part of Sage’s long standing presence in the region. Rather than relocating, the project focused on reimagining part of the company’s original 2000’s building, transforming it into a contemporary workspace that supports modern ways of working.

A Consistent Delivery Partnership

Tsunami Axis worked with Sage across the broader multi location programme as commercial furniture partner. By maintaining the same delivery team across projects, the partnership ensured continuity in specification, procurement and installation across multiple European cities.

A Recognisable Workplace Identity

The Metz workplace reflects Sage’s global design language through bright interiors, natural materials and a calm green neutral palette. Ergonomic furniture including desks, monitor arms and task seating from Humanscale provides consistency with Sage workplaces in Barcelona, Bordeaux, Porto, Leipzig and London.

Local Character Within a Shared Framework

While the overall aesthetic remains consistent, local expression was encouraged. French manufacturers were introduced where possible, creating subtle regional nuance while maintaining the same fabrics and visual language used across the wider programme.

The revitalised workspace demonstrates how existing buildings can evolve to meet modern workplace expectations while remaining part of a cohesive international workplace strategy.
