Building on a longstanding relationship with a global technology company, Tsunami Axis partnered with Facilitate and Agilité to transform the client’s new Paris office into a dynamic and inspiring workspace. Following previous successful projects across the UK and Europe, our team was tasked with delivering a creative and unique environment that met the brief of ‘modern simplicity with a punchy twist’, while incorporating authentic nods to the city’s cultural heritage.

Executing the Design Vision

Occupying a single expansive floor, the new 1,730 sqm (18,500 sqft) office marks a significant shift from the client’s previous multi-level space, providing a better-connected workplace. The interior scheme follows a consistent global design language while incorporating distinctive Parisian elements. Neutral and classic tones anchor the working environments, while social areas are punctuated by deep colour accents, textured fabrics, and metallic finishes. High-contrast materials, paired with playful lighting and bold furniture choices such as the Togo Fireside Chairs by Ligne Roset in leisure spaces, bring vibrancy and energy to the environment, creating a dynamic and engaging workplace.

Furniture Pieces with a Purpose

Incorporating nods to Parisian culture in the transformation was executed through the Parisian-style café. Locally sourced bistro RIVOLI Chevrons Café Chairs by Bistromania and cast iron base tables with marble tops are featured throughout. Tsunami Axis sourced and customised MillerKnoll flip tables with matching café marble tabletops, allowing for dual functionality for without compromising the design vision. Feature rugs from Missoni Home are another stand-out feature, adding an artistic and dynamic touch to key communal areas. Throughout the space, thoughtfully curated accessories enhance the eclectic aesthetic, reinforcing the brand’s creativity-driven culture.

Supporting Employee Wellbeing and Experience

Employee wellbeing was a primary focus of the project. The space integrates a variety of breakout zones, informal lounges, and game areas designed to foster collaboration and relaxation. Soft furnishings such as Gubi’s Pacha Lounge Chairs and Ottomans and HAY’s Mags Sofas coupled with extensive biophilic elements contribute to an uplifting and comfortable atmosphere. Distinct zones clearly separate workstations from leisure spaces, allowing employees to transition between focus spaces and social interaction.

Sustainable by Design

Sustainability was a key consideration. By repurposing existing furniture ranging from soft seating and coffee tables to Framery booths, we helped reduce waste and aligned with the client’s environmental values, all while preserving a high design standard.

Global Approach, Local Execution

Successfully delivering the project on time and within budget required careful coordination, adaptability, and a global approach tailored to local nuances. By leveraging our extensive network, we efficiently managed lead times, sourced alternative products where necessary, and ensured a seamless installation process. Regular site visits and close collaboration with Facilitate and Agilité ensured alignment with the design intent and real-time problem-solving. Our partnerships with trusted local suppliers enabled tailored solutions that met both form and function.

A Testament to Global Expertise

This project is a testament to Tsunami Axis’ agility and expertise in delivering high-quality workplace solutions across global locations. Having worked with the client across London, Hamburg, Madrid, and Paris, the team has developed a deep understanding of the client’s expectations and design philosophy. Their ability to integrate effortlessly with different project stakeholders, from architects and contractors to procurement teams, ensures consistency and efficiency in every location.

By blending global workplace strategies with the client’s brief, we created an environment that is visually striking, highly functional, and reflects the client’s brand identity. The transformation of this office exemplifies Tsunami Axis’ ability to go beyond furniture procurement to deliver workplaces that are globally aligned, locally relevant, and built for long-term success.
