Tsunami Axis was proud to sponsor and attend the Scottish Interior Design Students Showcase 2026, organised by MLA and held at Barras Art and Design in Glasgow on 10–11 June.
Now in its second year, the showcase brought together final-year interior design students from Glasgow School of Art, DJCAD, Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh Napier University, creating a valuable opportunity to celebrate emerging talent and connect students with industry professionals.
Visitors explored an impressive range of student projects alongside a programme of talks, panel discussions and career-focused presentations, designed to inspire, inform and support the next generation of designers as they prepare to enter the profession.
The quality of work on display highlighted the creativity, critical thinking and innovation emerging from Scotland’s design schools.
As part of our involvement, Tsunami Axis partnered with MillerKnoll to present the Best Research & Development Award, recognising exceptional innovation and design thinking. Congratulations to DJCAD student Holly Lonie, whose outstanding project included the design of a Maggie’s Centre alongside a full-scale furniture piece. Holly’s prize includes a visit to the MillerKnoll facility in Bristol to gain valuable insight into the design and manufacturing process.
