The team at Tsunami Axis GmbH welcomed numerous guests alongside MillerKnoll to their Frankfurt showroom for an evening exploring how AI is reshaping the world of work — and what that means for people, spaces, and performance.
The discussion brought together perspectives from workplace strategy, design, and leadership, framed by the keynote “WTFuture – The Future of White-Collar Workers” by Deborah Reicherts. Moving beyond theory, the conversation focused on realities already taking shape — from the redistribution of knowledge work to a growing emphasis on judgement over time spent. Expertise remains important, but is increasingly balanced by context and adaptability, while leadership continues to shift toward a more human-centred approach. At the same time, originality is becoming a key advantage as access to information expands.
A consistent theme throughout the evening was the role of the workplace itself. Not all work needs to be collaborative or creative, and there is a clear trend toward reintroducing focused work into office environments — through spaces designed for concentration, alongside a more intentional and considered use of AI.
